Text styles and list styles can be seen from the Quick Styles gallery
Text styles include character styles and paragraph styles

Table styles can only be accessed from the Table Tools - Design Tab

DEFAULT LINE SPACING
In Word 2003 the default line spacing for Normal style was single
This has bee changed to before-0, after-10, line spacing-multiple 1.15

STYLES AND FORMATTING TASK PANE
This task pane was replaced with the Styles task pane and the Style Inspector task pane.
