Version 3.0
User-interface changed to work more efficiently. The Manage Properties and Manage DocProperty Fields have been merged into one command, Properties & DocProperty Fields (still Ctrl+Shift+Y). The command opens the Manage Properties & DocProperty Fields dialog box that now gives you access to all buttons and other options without switching between property and field mode. The Manage menu has been removed.
From this version, only English user-interface is supported (Danish is no longer an option).
Format options have been added to the Add/Modify Custom Document Property dialog box. Lets you apply bold, italic, underline, or a character style of your choice to the individual properties. When you insert a DocProperty field, formatting will automatically be applied to the field according the format suffix in the property, if any.
Changes in the Manage Properties & DocProperty Fields dialog box:
Format information is shown to the right in the property list when the dialog box is extended. Format information about the selected property is shown below the list.
A new button, Ignore Format Suffix in This Document, has been added. Lets you suppress automatic formatting of DocProperty fields even if the properties in use have format suffixes.
The Filter feature now lets you filter either by property name or property value. Earlier versions allowed filtering by name only.
The count of properties and the usage count are now updated at once when properties are added or DocProperty fields inserted.
The Update Fields button has been extended to offer update of formatting if format suffix has been used in one or more properties.
A new button, Find Text and Replace with DocProperty Field, lets you quickly replace normal text with DocProperty Fields. The command searches the main document for text that matches the value of the selected custom document property. For each found occurrence, you can click a button to replace the text with a DocProperty field or leave the text unchanged.
You can now open Word's built-in Advanced Properties dialog box via the Advanced Properties button instead of from the Manage menu.
A new button, Modify Built-in Properties, shows a dialog box that gives you easy access to edit the built-in properties Title, Subject, Author, Keywords, and Comments.
The Export Custom Document Properties command now lets you select either landscape or portrait page orientation and you can select whether to insert help information in start or end of the export document.
A new command, Settings menu > Restore Position of Dialog Box has been added. You can use the command to fix the problem if the Manage Properties & DocProperty Fields dialog box doesn't seem to open when selecting the command. For example, the dialog box may be positioned outside the visible area if you are using another monitor setup than last time you used the command. The command restores the position to the default, in the middle of the window.
