Inserting an Equation

Selecting Microsoft Equation 3.0 allows you to embed mathematical and other technical expressions as an object in Excel.
Select (Insert > Object) and select Equation Editor 3.0 from the object type list.

Editing an Equation

Microsoft Equation 3.0 is an example of an application that supports editing in place.
This means that the Excel menus and toolbars are replaced with those of the Equation application.
