Data Tables

This is a type of What If data analysis that creates a table based on the impact of one (or two) variables in a formula.
They provide a way to calculate multiple variations and display and compare the results in a table layout.
There is even a calculation option called "Automatic except for data tables".
A data table is a range of cells in which you can change values in some cells and come up with different answers to a problem.
It can show you all the outcomes in one table on one worksheet.
A data table can accommodate 1 or two variables
One variable for the row input.
One variable for the column input.

Calculation

Automatic Mode
They will recalculate automatically whenever an input changes.
There is no smart dependency tracking inside a data table, so unrelated cells will trigger a refresh
Any volatile functions will also trigger data tables to be updated.

Partial Mode
Data tables will only recalculate when you press F9.

Manual Mode
F9 = everything, including data tables
Shift + F9 = recalculate active worksheet
